Did You Know?
Did you know that
students in the Halton Catholic District School Board can access Tumble Books
from school and from home? All they need is a username and password which can
be obtained from their teacher. Licensing was purchased for the entire school
board! Tumble Book Library is an online collection of animated, talking picture
books which teach young children the joys of reading in a fun, colorful format.
The TumbleBookLibrary Premium Collection has 1000 titles, including 300
TumbleBooks, 250 Chapter Books, 100 non-fiction books, 16 Graphic Novels, and
much more! Plus, there are hundreds of TumbleQuizzes and other Teacher
Resources. Residents of Mississauga and the Region of Peel can access Tumble
Books from the Public Library system for free right from their own home. However,
schools in Peel need to purchase their own license. Can you tumble
in your district?

I love how you linked the pictures - definitely a lot more engaging and visually appealing than a list of words. I have never heard of the Tumble Book library. Is it similar to checking out a book using an e-reader? Do they only have the book for a certain amount of time? Can they check out the book without an e-reader (ie if they just want to read it on their laptop?). Neat post!
